The Miso meat sauce can be make ahead. The meat is strongly seasoned for storage purpose, it can be kept in the refrigerator up to a week. I just reheat the amount I needed in microwave or in the frying pan. Good for bento 😀

All Purpose Miso Meat Sauce

Ingredients
  • 340 g ground pork (I used ground chicken)
  • 1 knob ginger
  • 2 green onions/scallions
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 Tbsp miso
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
Seasonings
  • 3 Tbsp mirin
  • 3 Tbsp sake
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp water
  • 2 tsp potato starch / cornstarch
