This dish kinda remind me of ambokueh (chinese sausage, cucumber, egg, thick gravy) although in reality it is far from similar :p

Thai Chicken in Gravy Over Rice (Khao Na Gai)
serves 2

450g Chicken meat cut up to a bite size
3 Tbsp Sweet dark soy sauce
3 Tbsp Light soy sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp Oyster sauce
1 1/2 Tbsp Chinese wine
1 Tbsp (Optional) Cilantro root
1 Tbsp White pepper for the marinade and 1 tsp at the end
2 Tbsp Sesame oil for the marinade and 1 tsp at the end

3-5 Tbsp Chopped garlic
3-5 Tbsp Sliced ginger or chopped ginger
2 Tbsp Vegetable oil

8 tsp Corn starch
2 cups Soup stock or water (if you use water add 1/2 tsp of salt)

Cucumber
(Optional) Jalapeno pepper or Serrano chili
Cilantro for garnish
(Optional) Chinese sausage
(Optional) Fried egg
Cooked rice
