Qiao's Noodles
serves 1
7.5 cm knob of regular ginger, or 5 cm knob of young ginger
4 or 5 cloves of garlic, peeled
5 cm knob of Sichuan preserved vegetable, soaked and rinsed
1 large ripe firm, tomato (about 170 g)
1 Tbsp cooking oil
1 tsp Chinese chili paste
1 tsp soy sauce
1 egg
85 g dried Chinese wheat noodles, preferably wide
good-quality toasted sesame oil (optional)
