Homemade Gochujang

What happened if you don't have gochujang (and don't want to buy it) but have miso and gochugaru.....homemade gochujang!

The recipe is from Shizuoka Gourmet

Homemade Gochujang

Add 270 ml water and 250 g brown sugar into saucepan. Heat until dissolve.
Add 300 g miso, stir til water disapperead. Add 100 g gochugaru, stir until big bubbles burst. Off heat, cool til skin temperature. 

Add 1 Tbsp salt, 1 tsp soju and 1 tsp rice vinegar. Stir. Refrigerate.
