Stir fried Lo Mein

16 September 2015 - Stir fried Chicken Lo mein
It's for my mom birthday. This year (2015) it's a longevity noodles rather than a cake because she recently said that she didn't want to eat cake. When she got home, she said, "How fragrant." and when she ate the noodles, she said, "The noodles is a little overcook, but the taste is delicious. Next time add jicama or bean sprout" :p I guess I have to cook stir fried noodles more frequently LOL

The recipe is inspired by Serious Eats

I used:
Dry egg noodles, boiled (should cut the cooking time) and rinsed with cold water;
Chicken thighs, cut into bite size pieces and marinade with soy sauce, shaoxing wine and corn starch;
Fish ball, cut into bite size pieces;
Carrots, julienned;
Chives, cut into 4 cm length;
Egg;
Garlic;
Datil pepper (cabai domba)
For the sauce: soy sauce, oyster sauce, white pepper, sugar and sesame oil.

The meat, egg and vegetables are stir fried separately then combined with the noodles.
