Tinutuan or bubur manado or Manadonese porridge is a rice porridge mixed with various vegetables such as spinach, kangkung, corn, pumpkin and sweet potato or cassava.
Tinutuan is from Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. According to others, it is from Minahasa, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The local government of Manado made tinutuan an official icon of the Manado city. Tinutuan is usually served as breakfast, with many additional foods, such as salted fish, sambal, fried onion. At its place of origin, Manado, tinutuan usually served with smoked skip jack tuna, shrimp paste or smoked garfish sambal, or meatballs.

Bubur Manado or Tinutuan 

200 g rice, rinsed
2 L water
1 1/2 tsp salt

100 g sweet potatoes, diced 1cm 
100 g yellow pumpkin, diced 1 cm
300 g sweet corn
50 g young melinjo leaves
50 g kangkung leaves
25 g basil leaves


For garnish: 150 g salted fish, diced 1/2 cm, washed, deed fried

For Dabu-dabu sambal
4 red bird eye chili, sliced
6 chili pepper, sliced
4 shallots, diced 1/2 cm
1 red tomato, diced 1/2 cm
2 tsp lime juice
1/2 tsp salt
